Amal Khalaf
Projects Curator, Serpentine Galleries / Commissioning Editor Projects, Ibraaz / Co-founder, GCC Collective

Amal Khalaf is a researcher, curator and currently Projects Curator at the Serpentine Galleries. She is also Commissioning Editor (Projects) at Ibraaz, and with an MA in Contemporary Art Theory from Goldsmiths, her research addresses themes of urbanism, community media activism and art through participatory projects and media initiatives.

She has also been involved in collaborative programming with artists and community groups in London and Cairo, has previously worked for Al Riwaq Gallery, Bahrain and set up a project space in an abandoned railway arch in East London, Hold & Freight (2008-2009).
