Elijah is a rising international star in grime and UK club music, and a regular contributor to Boiler Room, Red Bull Music Academy and Vice. Having appeared weekly on London’s pioneering radio station Rinse FM with partner Skilliam, the pair co-founded Butterz, an independent grime label dedicated to shining a light on unsung producers and emcees, described by The Guardian as “one of the genre’s smartest operations”.

He is also now Associate Artistic Director at Lighthouse, a culture agency supporting and producing new art, film, music, design and games. In this role, he’ll be curating and producing Last Dance, a new nationwide programme of club nights, talks, performances and online publications that examines the artistic and social importance of club culture.

What if we use utopias as a verb?

For IAM Weekend 17 we will go deeper into the meaning of utopias, with imagination and skepticism, understanding how they can evolve beyond contemporary dreams and help us navigate the uncertainty of our times.

The main stage will feature 30+ speakers distributed in 5 sessions (single-track conference format) plus 10+ workshops led by our learning partners developing the key insights from the talks. Our serendipitous agenda will also include several side-events including parties, dinners, screenings, special projects and installations.
