Fernando Velázquez is currently the Curator and Artistic Director of Red Bull Station, a cultural space in the heart of São Paulo opened in 2013 where different expressions merge, with a focus on projects involving music, mixed media art and urban thinking.
Fernando is also an artist at the Zipper and Bossa galleries. Having exhibited and lectured all over the world, his curatorial, artistic and research interests include exploring the sensorial and cognitive capabilities of human body in relation with the increasing mediation of perception expanded by digital devices. He is also interested in the crossing of different fields of knowledge as art, technology, philosophy, neuroscience, among others, as a way to create hybrid process. His work includes videos, interactive installations and objects, audiovisual performances and algorithms images.
