What started as access to information has become information overload, instead of inspiring us digital media has been linked to depression and poor concentration, the creators of our tools are selling our data to sell us more. People are speaking of addiction, losing track of time and requiring ‘digital detox’s’- is the internet broken? If so, can we fix it?



The BBC in partnership with IAM want to know if digital media is, in fact, having an impact on wellbeing and has commissioned research into the human experience of digital media. How might we help individuals make more conscious, intellectual choices about consumption in their lives?

Join us as we explore the outcomes of these findings, try out tools that will help you assess your relationship with digital media and feel empowered to make positive change. Together we can empower people to use their devices rather than letting their devices use them.
