Claudia Garza is an academic researcher and independent visual artist. She studied her BA in Visual and New Media Arts at CEDIM (Monterrey, México). She studied a specialty in Printed Image and Illustration at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. She did her Master degree in Art Research at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Complutense University of Madrid. Among her research topics are: contemporary digital narratives, video game theory and the future of social interaction through technology. Her visual work has been exhibited in different museums and galleries in Mexico City, Monterrey, Madrid, Barcelona and Paris. She has been awarded a scholarship twice by FONCA and CONARTE. She has participated as a speaker in different colloquia related to art, technology and urbanism organized by UNESCO (Monterrey), the City Lab (Mexico City), the Digital Culture Center (Mexico City) and the Medialab Prado (Madrid). She was the academic coordinator of the postgraduate courses in Innovation, as well as coordinator and teacher of the Digital Art, Animation and Interactive Design courses at CEDIM. Since August 2018 she is the Academic Program Director of the BA in Animation and Digital Art at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Guadalajara Campus.
